Welcome! Your first step toward mental wellness begins today.

Just because you don’t see the wound doesn’t mean a person isn’t hurting.

Did you know that when we feel emotional pain, the same areas of our brains get activated when we feel physical pain? Imagine though, you’re experiencing severe emotional distress and because it doesn’t manifest itself in a cut, bruise or physical injury, no one asks you if you’re OK or if you need help. You don’t receive the same compassion or concern for what you’re enduring as a person who has a broken leg and walks with crutches or is physically bound to a wheelchair.

“Emotional pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about. There is truth in your pain, there is growth in pain but only if it’s brought out into the open.”

STEVEN AITCHISON

In year 2075/076, there were 5785 numbers of people who committed suicide.

To anyone out there who’s hurting—it’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help. It’s a sign of strength. – Barack Obama
